Cliff, I understand where you're coming from on this. But, form all reports Further is "kickin' ass and takin' names". I said, after the Easter debacle in Greensboro that I would never attend anothr "Reunion Band" show. From what I've heard on the archive, if they were playing within my travel "comfort zone" and the tickets were reasonable(not that they were for The Dead's Spring 2009 Tour), I would strongly consider seeing Furhtur.

Of course that's me, and I'm not you.

Furthur is better than the Dead! Weir even told CNBC news that most people just can't afford those 2009 ticket prices. Furthur 2010 prices average around $40 if you don't patronize the thieves like Stub Hub, which is really a scalpers' website.

Hi Bill - I have to admit I'd been pretty dismissive of the whole Furthur enterprise too but when amosearle pointed out the killer setlist for the 7-3-10 show I decided to give it a listen and I think it's pretty good. When it works best is when John Kadlecik forgets that he's supposed to be Jerry Garcia and just cuts loose and has fun.

I know, I know...the set lists look so cool. But going to a show would require too much effort...

You are missing out, dude. How much effort does it take to get out of the house for one night? Aren't you in the NYC area? They have played so many shows there in the past 8 months...

One thing I realized a couple nights ago in Ottawa was that there is no way to truly replicate a Phil Bomb on a home stereo. That man is an absolute musical genius and is still very much on top of his game. Once again, you are missing out... but you may never know that.
